2019 Year-End Giving
Did you know?
Brownsboro Alliance originally registered as a 501(c)(3) organization under the name of Brownsboro Conservation Council, Inc. While doing business as Brownsboro Alliance today, we still hold our original registered name – and not by accident or coincidence. We continue to stand behind our original mission of conservation, as defined by Merriam-Webster as “a careful preservation and protection of something, especially: planned management of a natural resource to prevent exploitation, destruction, or neglect.” Brownsboro Alliance Trail Association (BATA) and its trail system are wholly representative of our conservation efforts.
Join us on December 3, 2019
Each year, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving kicks off the charitable giving season with GivingTuesday. Remember Brownsboro Alliance and our conservation efforts on this year’s GivingTuesday, December 3, 2019. Your donation to Brownsboro Alliance will help our careful preservation and planned management of the natural resource we have been entrusted to protect: the Brownsboro Trails. We thank you in advance and appreciate your support!
The Battle for Conservation
“The battle for conservation must go on endlessly. It is part of the universal warfare between right and wrong.” – John Muir
Into the Woods
“And into the woods I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” – John Muir
John Muir, founder of the Sierra Club, was an influential Scottish-American naturalist, inventor, explorere, writer, and advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the United States. Through his writings, he has inspired millions of readers, including presidents and congressmen, to take action to help preserve and restore the natural environment. Known as the “Father of Our National Parks,” Muir lived out BATA’s conservation mission and is an example to us all.
