Brownsboro is home to many beautiful farms that provide the community with local, fresh food. We hope you will take advantage of the wonderful resources all around us! One opportunity is to take part in Community Supported Agriculture.
Rootbound Farm is offering 2016 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares for weekly pick-up at their farm in Crestwood (on Halls Hill Road). They also offer several other convenient pick-ups in the Louisville area, including Norton Commons, so check out their website for complete information. CSA Members will enjoy a weekly basket of fresh Certified Organic produce from the farm in Crestwood from June through October. You’ll be amazed by the quality when you enjoy all of your favorite veggies harvested the same day as your delivery. There’s no fresher way to enjoy local organic produce, and recipes and tips for storage are provided each week. As a member of the Rootbound Farm CSA you’ll enjoy benefits such as farm tours and field days – a great opportunity for the whole family to develop a relationship with the folks who grow your food. There are a limited number of shares available so check out their website, www.rootboundfarm.com for more information.
