As October comes to a close, particularly as we approach Halloween, there are still quite a few events happening in Oldham County. For fun for the whole family, check out these events coming up this weekend:

Foxhollow Farm is hosting a Pumpkin Carving Party right here in Brownsboro on Friday night, October 26th, from 6pm to 8pm.  Bring your own carving tools and cash for pumpkins and treats.  Costumes are encouraged.  RSVP is not required, but appreciated.  For more information, visit foxhollow.com or call 502-241-9674.

On Saturday, October 27th, visit Yew Dell’s “BooDell” from 11am to 3pm.   This event will feature local merchants in costume with booths around the gardens, as well as trick-or-treating, hay rides, and a magic show.  Co-hosted by the Oldham County Public Library, BooDell will also have a Book-O-Lantern contest – bring your own pumpkin decorated as your favorite character from a book to enter a chance to win!  Visit yewdellgardens.org for more information.

Downtown Trick or Treat in La Grange welcomes kids and parents to trick-or-treat in participating shops on Saturday, October 27th from 12pm to 6pm.  Come in your best costume, as the costume contest at Soy Creations (210 East Main Street) will begin at 1pm.  Prizes for each age group will be awarded.  Visit the event page on Facebook, hosted by Discover Downtown La Grange, for more information.

Enjoy a fun and safe Halloween!
