As we get ready for Oldham County Day next Saturday, you might be interested to know that there are events throughout the entire weekend for the whole family to enjoy together. One such event is the YMCA Oldham County Days Festival 5K, held on Friday, July 18th. The second event of four in the Oldham County Grand Slam, this race begins at Covenant United Methodist Church. Participants are welcome to walk 1 mile or run the 5k through the heart of La Grange.
Register online by July 11th to receive the early entry fee of $20; after July 11th, the entry fee is $25. Packets, including t-shirt and race number, can be picked up at 6:00pm on race day. Late registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
The 1 mile race begins at 7:15pm on July 18th; 5k begins at 7:30pm. Awards ceremony for top finishers for men, women, and age groups will follow the race. Then stick around for more of the evening’s festivities on Main Street!
